Reiki Training

There are a few things you may want to consider when deciding between different Reiki courses and Reiki healing training providers in South Africa:

1. Consider why you want to learn Reiki. Is it for personal use, or for future professional practice? Level I courses are primarily seen as being for personal use, followed by Level 2, which is the foundational level for professional practice.
2. There are various styles of Reiki you could choose from, however the most important factor when choosing the style of Reiki is whether the Reiki Master has a lineage that can be traced back to Mikao Usui, the founder of the system of Usui Reiki. A lineage is similar to a family tree.
3. Another very important factor is whether  “attunements,” are given in person. “Attunements” can be compared to spiritual blessings and is the most important aspect in the system of Reiki.
4. Is the Reiki Master teacher a member of the Reiki Guild South Africa?

• Our Reiki training lineage can be traced back to the founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui . Our students therefor also hold this lineage and the knowledge that is passed down in an unbroken line from each of the Usui Reiki Master Teachers. View our lineage here. • Our lineage also includes Penelope Quest (prolific Reiki author and advisor to the NHS and Open University); William Lee Rand (founder of The International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT) and author; and Frans Steine, co-founder of the International House of Reiki and author.
• Seeing as our Reiki Master Torsten A. Lange studied both the Western and Japanese style of Reiki, our students also receive training in both styles.
• Reiki attunements are always given in person, as this is the most important part of any Reiki training course.
